Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov received Tuesday Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan – Ibrahim Junusov, to the USA – Bolot Otunbayev, to Germany – Erinesbek Otorbaev, to the United Arab Emirates – Chyngyz Eshimbekov and Consul General in Almaty (Kazakhstan) Aliyasbeka Almovym
The press service of the President’s Office reported that during the meeting, issues on all the spectra of bilateral and multilateral cooperation of Kyrgyzstan with foreign countries were discussed, priorities of ambassadors' activities were noted.
The Ambassador to Uzbekistan discussed preparations for the consultative meeting of presidents of Central Asian countries, which will be held in Tashkent in April, issues on completing the process of delimiting the state border and enhancing cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
During conversations with the Ambassadors to Germany and the United Arab Emirates, the main areas of political, investment, trade, economic, energy, agriculture, tourism cooperation have been designated, and preparation of the upcoming visits of the President to these countries was discussed.
The President named the processing, light and food industries, energy and tourism as the branches of the economic sphere that are of interest in cooperation with Western countries.
He stressed that in cooperation with Arab countries, the existing economic and investment potential is not fully used, and noted the need to enhance the attraction of funds to regional development projects.
In conversation with the Ambassador to the US, the head of state noted the need to intensify the bilateral political cooperation, attract investment, set the task to actively protect the rights of Kyrgyzstanis abroad and to provide them with specific assistance.
At a meeting with the Consul General in Almaty, issues of protecting the rights and interests of Kyrgyzstanis, as well as the possibilities for exporting agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan were discussed.
