Bishkek, Oct. 14, 2020 / Kabar /. The press service of the Kyrgyz President said that the world community supports Sooronbay Jeenbekov in restoring stability and resolving all issues in the legal field.
“In connection with the latest political events, we inform that the Russian Federation, the United States of America, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, as well as the United Nations, the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking countries and the European Union support President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov in restoring stability and solving all questions in the legal field,” the press service said.
The Russian Federation, as a true ally and strategic partner, from the first days of the situation, has been providing all-round support to the head of state in creating all the conditions for ensuring the country's further sustainable development. Repeated negotiations were held between Presidents Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Vladimir Putin. On behalf of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Kozak, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office, was specially sent to Bishkek for consultations.
The heads of the Central Asian countries also stated that all issues should be resolved with the indispensable observance of the Constitution and national legislation. It was noted that the well-being of Kyrgyzstan is an important factor in regional security and sustainable development of the entire Central Asia.
President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Joomart Tokayev said that President Sooronbay Jeenbekov is the legitimate head of state and expressed support for his actions to end the conflict and normalize the situation in the country.
Almost the entire international community underlines the key role of President Sooronbay Jeenbekov and supports his efforts, as well as the legitimate authorities, civil society leaders and legal scholars in finding an inclusive, legal and democratic solution to the situation.
Also, in the coming days, the UN Secretary General's Special Representative for Central Asia, Head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) Natalia Gherman is expected to visit Kyrgyzstan for consultations on a peaceful resolution of the current situation.
It should be noted that partner countries and international organizations are committed to cooperating with the legitimate authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic and emphasizes the key role of the President in leading the political process to find a way out of the current crisis.
The Kyrgyz Republic is confidently and step by step returning to the legal track by electing a legitimate Government.
The next step, in accordance with the Constitution and the laws of the country, is to hold new, free and fair parliamentary elections, in accordance with international standards and the participation of international observations.
At the same time, some destructive forces are trying to bring the country into chaos and unrest through forceful pressure, which is unacceptable to the people of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Today, on October 14, the country's Parliament elected and the President signed a decree on the appointment of the prime minister and members of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Accordingly, the new Government is fully responsible for maintaining security and public order throughout the state, including the capital in Bishkek. It is important for all relevant state bodies to take comprehensive measures to implement the previously adopted Decree of the Head of State on the introduction of a state of emergency in Bishkek and subsequently approved by the country's Parliament.
Earlier, in connection with the current situation associated with violence and the threat to life and health of people resulting from the riots, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov used his constitutional right and introduced a state of emergency in Bishkek until October 19 this year.
