Bishkek, Jan. 30, 2019. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov, summing up the meeting of the Security Council, instructed to immediately resolve two issues.
He pointed out that the government together with local authorities should create favorable conditions for honest investors and work with the public.
“Companies should be provided with conditions for conducting work at the field. In the mining industry there are those who want to easily and quickly enrich themselves through corruption schemes. This should not happen. Instead, all conditions should be created for the smooth and transparent work of investors. What investor will come if no one can ensure the protection of their rights. It is necessary to protect honest taxpayers – investors, and be grateful that they work this way, despite the current conditions,” the President told.
He stressed that in order to achieve the first task, it is necessary to work in parallel with the population so that there are no clashes at the fields and prerequisites for political provocations.
“As I have already said, 18 thousand people work in the mining industry and pay taxes of 12 billion. We need to increase these figures. We need to stop the negative policy against investors. Otherwise, there will be no conditions for creating new jobs and increasing wages,” Jeenbekov added.
The meeting of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic was chaired by the President of Kyrgyzstan at Ala-Archa state residence. The agenda included measures to ensure safety in the field of subsoil use.
