Bishkek, Oct. 1, 2019 / Kabar/. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov congratulated the Kyrgyz people on the International Day of Older Persons, his press service said.
In his congratulation message President Jeenbekov said that from time immemorial, the Kyrgyz have been deeply respectful and especially caring for older people.
“The proverbs “Those who has the elderly has well-being”, “Reliably take care of the advice of the elders” is proof of this. We highly appreciate the work of the older generation that they devoted to the development of the country, the well-being of the people,” he said in his message.
Jeenbekov noted that the duty of the current generation is to provide decent living conditions for senior citizens.
The Kyrgyz President also said that the state is making every effort to improve the life of the older generation from year to year.
“ Through caring for the elderly, the effectiveness of public policy and the spiritual level of society are determined. Therefore, we all face great challenges in caring for elders. We must always honor, value, respect older people and give them worthy attention,” he said wishing good health, long life, prosperity, love and care for children and society.
