Jeenbekov: There is need to strengthen work on increasing role of CIS in security issues

Ashgabat, Oct.11, 2019. /Kabar/. During his speech at the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State in Ashgabat, Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov said about need to strengthen the work on increasing role of the CIS in solving security issues.

In particular, the Kyrgyz leader called particularly important the interaction in the field of border security and state border protection.

“I propose to increase the interaction of our intelligence services to counter the challenges and threats of our time,” he said.

Sooronbay Jeenbekov said it is very important to implement the Concept of Military Cooperation of the CIS member states until 2020.

“The Concept will strengthen the military and military-technical cooperation of our military ministries,” he added.
