Bishkek, Jan. 9, 2019. / Kabar /. “Those who wish to spoil our relations with China will not achieve their goal,” said Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov at a meeting with residents of Sokuluk region of Chui oblast, the Kyrgyz President’s press service reported.
During the meeting, a local resident of Sokuluk region, recalling that an anti-Chinese rally was held on the central square of Bishkek on January 7, expressed concern that by doing so we could spoil relations with our strategic partner, the People’s Republic of China.
Jeenbekov noted that the People’s Republic of China provides grants and loans in accordance with the agreements reached between the two countries, and how these funds are used is an internal matter of the state.
“We should be grateful to the Chinese side for cooperation and assistance, the problem is in our officials. We control the actions of those who wish to spoil our international relations and damage stability in the country. They will be punished by the legislation,” the president said.
