Jeenbekov to hold bilateral meetings with leaders of three countries within SCO summit

Bishkek, June 4, 2018. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov will hold bilateral meetings with Presidents of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Mongolia Haltmaagin Battulga, as well as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the President’s Office of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Sydykov during a press conference at Kabar News Agency told that the leaders' meetings will be held on the margins of the SCO Summit in Qingdao on June 9-10.

"At the upcoming SCO Summit the leaders of India and Pakistan will take part for the first time after they became full members last year. At the meeting of the Council of Heads of State in a narrow and enlarged formats, discussion and decision on further cooperation and development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization are planned. In addition, it is planned to approve documents in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as in the field of security and external contacts," Sydykov said.

At the summit in Qingdao, the chairmanship in SCO will be moved from China to Kyrgyzstan and next year the meeting of the SCO participants will take place in the Kyrgyzstan.
