Bishkek, Oct. 12, 2018. /Kabar/. Deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh reviewed and approved a draft law on ratification of the Agreement on the Demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh State Border.
The agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan on the demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh state border was signed in Astana on December 25, 2017 as part of the official visit of President Sooronbay Jeenbekov to Kazakhstan.
According to the requirements of the Law on International Agreements of the Kyrgyz Republic, this Agreement was agreed with ministries, state committees and administrative departments of Kyrgyzstan, and also with the committees of the Jogorku Kenesh in 2015 and approved by the order of the President of Kyrgyzstan before it was signed, the press service of the Parliament reported.
The parties installed 1055 pillars of the border, including the main - 537, of which 264 were installed by the Kyrgyz side, 273 – by the Kazakh side; 518 - intermediate border pillars, of which 258 were installed by the Kyrgyz side , 260 – by the Kazakh side.
The relevant committee of the Jogorku Kenesh did not receive proposals for the draft law from the subjects of legislative initiative on the second reading, the press service added.
