Bishkek, April 1, 2021 / Kabar /. The first stage of the joint command-staff and mobilization exercise "Koopsuzduk-2021" has begun in Kyrgyzstan on April 1, 2021, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The topic of this stage is bringing regional departments of state bodies and local self-government bodies in readiness to perform tasks in the context of the introduction of martial law and a state of emergency in certain localities (regions).
Opening the event Minister of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic Taalaibek Omuraliev noted that in the modern world the main challenges and threats are international terrorism and extremism. “We must be ready to ensure the protection and security of the citizens of Kyrgyzstan and the country as a whole,” the minister said.
The exercise are taking place on the territory of Batken, Osh and Jalal-Abad Oblasts from April 1 to April 3, 2021. The main goal is to work out the actions of the military, state administration and local self-government bodies in the context of the introduction of martial law and a state of emergency in certain localities of the republic, the practical mobilization of the formed military units and the implementation of combat missions in an aggravated situation.
The exercises will involve over 2 thousand people, about 100 units of automobile, armored and special equipment, about 20 units of artillery systems and up to 10 units of aircraft.
