Joint meeting of Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Russian Government starts in Moscow

Moscow, Oct 21, 2024. /Kabar/. As part of the official visit of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov to Moscow, a joint meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and the Russian Government has begun.

Akylbek Zhaparov and Chairman of the Russian Government Mikhail Mishustin warmly greeted each other and members of the government of the two countries.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic noted that he was very grateful to his Russian colleague for the invitation to an official visit and a warm welcome. “I express my full solidarity with your assessment of Kyrgyz-Russian relations. This is my first official visit to the Russian Federation, timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the celebration of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region and the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in Russia. It is a striking and most obvious example of fraternal relations between our countries,” he said.

Mikhail Mishustin noted that the two countries have an intensive dialogue in all areas. "This year, the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Nurkozhoevich has already visited the Russian Federation three times and we are waiting for him at the BRICS summit, which will begin this week in Kazan. We maintain regular communication, work along the lines of the EAEU, CIS and SCO. Our intergovernmental Russian-Kyrgyz commission on trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation is also working successfully," he said.

Akylbek Zhaparov thanked for the warm words to the Kyrgyz people and the hospitality shown on Russian soil and invited Mikhail Mishustin on an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
