Bishkek, May 17, 2022. /Kabar/. Moscow hosted on Monday a jubilee meeting of leaders of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member-states on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Collective Security Treaty and the 20th anniversary of the CSTO, the press service of the Kyrgyz president said.
Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov, Russia Vladimir Putin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon met at the round table in the Kremlin.
The participants discussed current issues of interaction within the CSTO, joint coordination of positions on international and regional problems and improvement of the collective security system.
During the meeting, the leaders signed a CSTO Collective Security Council Statement on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Collective Security Treaty and the 20th anniversary of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, and also decided to award participants of the CSTO peacekeeping operation in Kazakhstan in January 2022.
