Bishkek, Sept. 2, 2024. / Kabar/. Members of the junior and youth judo teams of the Kyrgyz Republic won 10 medals (2 gold, 8 bronze) at the Asian Championship in the city of Mungyeong (South Korea), the Department of Physical Culture and Sports under the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Among juniors (U-17), bronze was won by Marsel Tumenbaev (50 kg), Adis Orozmamatov (60 kg), Aidai Kakitaeva (57 kg) and Azima Konokbaeva (70 kg).
Among young men (U-20), gold medals were won by Erzhan Kanatbekov (81 kg) and Emirkhan Zholdoshbekov (+100 kg).
3rd place was taken by Alina Moldokulova (70 kg), Zhanara Zholdosheva (57 kg), Myrzaim Duishenbekova and Adina Kochkonbekova (63 kg).
The team took part in the competition under the leadership of senior coaches Sharkynbek Shambetov, Ermek Sariev, Timur Omurbekov and Alibek Choroev.
