Bishkek, Sept. 7, 2020. /Kabar/. The Karkyra - Avtodorozhnyi checkpoint on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh section of the state border has restored its functioning on Sept. 7, 2020, the press service of Kyrgyzstan’s State Border Service reported.
The checkpoint will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Taking into account quarantine measures and epidemiological situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan, citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic and foreign states will have to familiarize with restrictions imposed by the Kazakh side before leaving for Kazakhstan.
Electronic visas are not allowed at the Karkyra - Avtodorozhnyi checkpoint.
According to an Agreement between the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan "On Checkpoints at the State Border" of Dec. 25, 2003, Karkyra – Avtodorozhnyi is a multilateral, road checkpoint.
Since 2020, it has been in a year-round operation mode.
