Bishkek, Nov. 2, 2018. /Kabar/. Karkyra-Avtodorozhnyi - Kegen- Avtodorozhnyi (Kazakhstan) checkpoint (Kyrgyzstan) has temporarily stopped operating, the State Border Service reported.
From October 31, 2018, the passage of persons, vehicles and cargo across the border was suspended at the checkpoint.
Karkyra checkpoint will resume its work on May 1, 2019.
The checkpoint on the Kyrgyz-Kazakhstan stretch of the state border is seasonal and carries out its work from May to October.
In accordance with the Agreement between the Government of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan on “Checkpoints across the State Border" dated December 25, 2003, Karkyra-Avtodorozhnyi checkpoint is a multilateral, road checkpoint located in Tyup region of Issyk-Kul oblast.
