Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's official visit to Kyrgyzstan completed

Bishkek, May 27, 2022 / Kabar /. The official visit of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev to Kyrgyzstan, which took place on May 26, has been completed, the press service of the Kyrgyz President reported.

As part of the visit, the Ala-Archa state residence hosted an official meeting ceremony between President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The leaders of the countries held talks in narrow and expanded formats, having substantively discussed the state of and prospects for further strengthening the Kyrgyz-Kazakh multifaceted cooperation, and also exchanged views on topical issues of the regional and international agenda.

The heads of state expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the talks and signed a number of documents aimed at building up bilateral cooperation, including the Joint Statement of the Heads of State.

Further, a plenary meeting of the Eurasian Economic Forum was held in Bishkek via videoconferencing. Sadyr Zhaparov, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, who took part in the meeting, answered questions regarding the development of mutually beneficial cooperation within the EAEU.

Also, Sadyr Zhaparov and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev jointly opened a monument to the Kazakh poet Abai Kunanbai uulu and a branch of Farabi Kazakh National University.

The same day in evening, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev left for Kazakhstan.
