Kazakbaev meets with Lavrov

Bishkek, April 2, 2021 / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Kazakbaev met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergei Lavrov in Moscow within the framework of a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS member states.

The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said that during the conversation, the two ministers discussed the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level following the results of the first foreign visit of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov to Russia.

The sides exchanged views on the most important areas and prospects of bilateral cooperation, including supply of the Russian vaccine against COVID-19 to Kyrgyzstan, the resumption of rail links between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation, an increase in regular flights, the opening of a Representative Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Russian Federation, interaction between the emergency departments of the two countries, as well as other topical issues on the agenda.

The sides expressed their readiness to work on further expansion and deepening of Kyrgyz-Russian relations.
