Bishkek, June 14, 2019. / Kabar /. President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, noted the high level of Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship in the SCO speaking during the SCO Summit in Bishkek.
He said that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is one of the most effective and authoritative international associations.
He noted that being a young organization, it had achieved notable success in its development and thereby attracted the attention of the entire world community.
“We should maintain and strengthen the potential of the SCO. For example, there will be an action plan for 2018-2022 within the framework of a strategic agreement for the SCO on good-neighborliness, friendship and cooperation,” he said.
The Kazakh President noted that full-format relations should also be expanded by key multilateral structures of Eurasia.
He stressed that the partners of the SCO could be the EAEU, OSEAN, BRICS and the European Union.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also proposed to hold a forum of young IT specialists of the SCO countries to develop digitalization in the organization's countries.
