Bishkek, July 10, 2019. /Kabar/. The Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund of Kazakhstan is interested in several projects in Kyrgyzstan, Andrey Beliyaninov, the Chairman of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) Management Board told during the press conference.
He said that the matter concerns energy and gold mining in particular.
“I recently met with the leadership of Samruk-Kazyna, and I know they have plans for Kyrgyzstan. We are ready to support their integration efforts,” Beliyaninov said.
The sole shareholder of Samruk-Kazyna is the Government of Kazakhstan. The assets of the fund are estimated at tens of billions of dollars.
Samruk-Kazyna, officially known as the National Welfare Fund "Samruk-Kazyna", is a sovereign wealth fund and joint stock company in Kazakhstan which owns, either in whole or in part, a number of major companies in the country.
