Nur-Sultan, Dec. 8, 2021 / Kabar /. Kazakhstan offered Kyrgyzstan to open a joint venture for the cultivation of sugar beet.
Such a proposal was sounded during a meeting of Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov with Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin.
The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers said that Akylbek Zhaparov and Askar Mamin discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
The sides expressed mutual agreement on the need to develop bilateral relations and agreed to take real steps to promote projects in the economic, logistics, transport, vegetation, water-energy and other areas.
The participants of the meeting paid special attention to the implementation of joint projects in the agricultural sector, including the Kazakh side expressed interest in exchanging experience with Kyrgyz entrepreneurs engaged in sugar production, and also proposed to consider the possibility of opening a joint venture for growing sugar beets and raw sugar.
The Kyrgyz delegation headed by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov is on a working trip to the Kazakh capital on Dec. 7- 8.
