Kazakhstan presents its products in France

QazTrade participated online in the “Made in Kazakhstan” exhibition in Paris last week, organized by Advantage Group with the support of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in France, The Times of Central Asia reported with reference to the Kazakh Ministry of Trade and Integration.

The event featured honey products from SUN-BEE ALTAI LLP, turkey from Ordabasy Kus LLP, home textiles from AGF Group LLP, cattle tags and animal blood sampling systems from ZD Flex LLP. The exhibition was attended by representatives of major French retailers — Group Casino, Marché de Rungis, FranPrix, Sabil; distributors of food and textiles C-Design Home, Miel Factory, as well as representatives of the French Ministry of Agriculture and Insitut de l'elevage IDELE.

Director-General of QazTrade JSC Azamat Askaruly presented the possibilities of exporters of Kazakhstan, which receive a wide range of non-financial measures of state support through a QazTrade single window. Of particular interest to potential French importers was a tool for reimbursement of part of the cost of up to 80% of Kazakh exporters to promote and transport goods abroad.

Azamat Askaruly said that QazTrade is actively working to attract foreign investors in export-oriented projects in Kazakhstan and expressed its readiness to cooperate on projects together with the French business.

“Our team is ready to prepare a market study, market analysis on the goods of interest, and provide contacts of existing exporters on the issues of interest for cooperation,” he said.

Despite the restrictions due to the pandemic, the trade turnover of processed goods between Kazakhstan and France in 2020 increased by 24% and amounted to 1.2 billion USD. The exports of processed goods from Kazakhstan to France increased by 14% (254 million USD).
