Bishkek, July 1, 2024. / Kabar /. A special flight with humanitarian aid from Kazakhstan arrived in Osh city of Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
The humanitarian aid was accompanied by Director of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Dzhambul region Arman Tokonov.
At the airport, the cargo was met by Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic Mazaripov, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Osh region Tashbaev and Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Osh region Karybay.
Kazakhstan sent food and essential goods to those affected by mudflows.
Nine people were killed in a mudslide in Kyrgyzstan’s Nookat region.
Mudflows as a result of heavy rainfall in Nookat region on Friday, damaged two bridges, electric poles and flooded 15 courtyards of private houses.
Besides, in the Abshyr-Ata recreation area, 1,300 people were blocked due to the fact that a mudflow washed away the road.
