Bishkek, Nov. 22, 2018. /Kabar/. Kazakhstan will start supplying gasoline to other countries, including to Kyrgyzstan later than the planned dates, Kazakhstan's Energy Minister Kanat Bozumbayev told, RIA Novosti reported.
Earlier, it had been planned to start exporting fuel and lubricants in November; Kyrgyzstan was to be the first country to purchase Kazakh gasoline.
The postponement of the start of gasoline exports for an indefinite period is due to the fact that the process of finalizing the draft agreement with Kyrgyzstan has been delayed.
The Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan said that the Kyrgyz side had promised to resolve the issue in the near future.
The volume of planned gasoline exports has not been announced yet, as this will depend on the presence of surplus in the domestic market.
On October 4, 2018, the Ministers of Energy of Kazakhstan and Russia Kanat Bozumbayev and Alexander Novak signed an intergovernmental protocol amending the agreement on trade and economic cooperation, which involves lifting the embargo on gasoline exports.
Earlier, the Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan had said that it was crucial to start selling gasoline abroad in October-November 2018.
