Bishkek, Sept. 27, 2018 / Kabar /. First Deputy Foreign Minister Dinara Kemelova took part in a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS member states in Dushanbe.
Within the framework of the meeting, the sides exchanged views on current international and regional issues, discussed some aspects of improving the effectiveness of the CIS bodies and inventorying its international treaty base.
The main attention was paid to the agenda of the meeting of the Council of the Heads of State of the CIS, which will be held on September 28, 2018 in the capital of Tajikistan. In particular, the foreign ministers of the CIS countries discussed the relevant draft document on preparations for the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, and also approved the Concept for the Development of Cooperation among the CIS Member States in Support of the Youth Volunteer Movement and the Action Plan for 2018 - 2020 years for its implementation.
Members of the Council attached a number of educational institutions of the Commonwealth countries to the status of the basic organization of the CIS in training teachers in the field of historical, inclusive education, physical culture and sports.
Kemelova also made proposals on the adoption of two draft statements of the heads of CIS member states to the 90th birthday of Chyngyz Aitmatov and the World Nomad Games initiated by the Kyrgyz side, as well as the need to draw the attention of the international community to the problems of uranium legacy in Central Asia by adopting a new UN resolution .
The next meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council is scheduled for April 5, 2019 in Moscow.
