Bishkek, July 7, 2021 . / Kabar / . The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan will check the legality of Orkhan Inandy’s Kyrgyz citizenship, Minister Ulan Niyazbekov said at a parliamentary session on Wednesday.
"The Turkish side stated that Orkhan Inandy is their citizen. We used to consider him our citizen. That's why today we started checking the legality of Inandy's Kyrgyz citizenship. We know that he received a Kyrgyz passport in 2012, but we haven't verified the grounds for obtaining it yet. Now the check has started," the minister said.
On July 5, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said live on the TV broadcast that FETO’s head for Central Asia Orkhan Inandy had been captured and taken to Turkey during a special operation conducted by the intelligence services.
Inandy disappeared in Bishkek on the night of June 1.
Pre-trial proceedings on the search for the Kyrgyz citizen Orkhan Inandy were under the control of Kyrgyzstan’s Interior Minister Ulan Niyazbekov.
At present, once the whereabouts of Orkhan Inandy was established, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic is conducting further operational and investigative measures aimed at establishing the circumstances of the kidnapping.
