Bishkek, Dec. 17, 2021. / Kabar /. The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Kyrgyzstan will provide the Kyrgyz Parliament (Jogorku Kenesh) with grant support in the amount of USD 200,000 to modernize the IT infrastructure and digitalize the parliament.
Within the framework of this project, the chief of staff of the Jogorku Kenesh Almazbek Sabyrbekov met with a group of Korean experts in the field of IT technologies.
Lee Jong-soo, Director of the KOICA Representative Office in Kyrgyzstan, briefly spoke about the project, which will be implemented in three stages: technical support of the meeting hall of the Jogorku Kenesh; systematization and programming of installed equipment; training of specialists in the operation of IT equipment. The project will be implemented from 2022 to 2026.
Almazbek Sabyrbekov expressed gratitude to the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Kyrgyzstan Lee Won-jae and Director of the KOICA Representative Office in Kyrgyzstan Lee Jong-soo, adding that this project will contribute to establishing communication and interaction between the parliament and the population. In addition, Sabyrbekov noted that it is necessary to conduct the voting procedure for deputies using modern technical capabilities.
