Bishkek, Sept. 8, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, Sept. 8 as part of the Komuz Week, representatives of the Kyrgyz culture laid flowers to the monuments of great komuzists.
It was attended by People's Artists of the USSR, the Kyrgyz Republic, honored cultural figures, artists and young komuzists.
Flowers were laid to the monuments of Toktogul Satylganov in Bishkek, Niyazaly Boroshev in Osh and Karamoldo Orozov in the village Korumdu, Issyk-Kul Oblast.
Given the epidemiological situation, the Komuz Week announced by Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Culture will be held online on Sept. 7-13, 2020.
The program includes memoirs of great komuz players, a scientific and practical conference with the participation of carriers of traditional music and komuz players, an online concert and video lessons. The event will be broadcast live on several channels and on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Komuz Day (Sept. 9) was introduced to consolidate society and strengthen the unity of the people of Kyrgyzstan, as well as to expand the intercultural dialogue of ethnic communities in 2019 by the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
