Bishkek, Feb. 22, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan, with the support of Korea, is implementing projects for the development of Chuy oblast for a total amount of $ 150,000, the press service of the State Agency for Local Self-Government and Inter-Ethnic Relations reported.
Today, February 22, the agency hosted a meeting with its head Bakhtiar Saliev, with president of the global the Saemaul Undong movement of the Republic of Korea Son Jae Pil, during which cooperation between the two organizations was discussed as part of the memorandum.
Saliev noted that the Kyrgyz and Korean traditions have a number of similarities, which is also reflected in the activities of the State Agency and the global movement.
“After all, the Kyrgyz people have been working through ashar method since the ancient times. It is characterized by the fact that, at the call of the leader, the whole community rises and together helps each other in a common cause. The contribution of the Korean Saemaul Undong center to the development of villages will create conditions for resolving current issues, as well as provide an incentive for the residents to participate in solving the problems of the village,” Saliev said.
In turn, the president of the movement stressed that Kyrgyzstan is successfully implementing projects of a global organization.
