Korean company interested in Kyrgyz medicinal herbs and white honey

Bishkek, Oct. 11, 2024. /Kabar/. Following the talks of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, General Director of the largest Korean corporation KT&G, Kyung Man Bang, visited Kyrgyzstan.

The Kyrgyz Economy Ministry reported that KT&G is one of the leading Korean companies with more than 100 years of history and specializes in the tobacco business, as well as in the production of ginseng, medicine, cosmetics and real estate.

During the visit, negotiations were held, as well as a meeting between Kyung Man Bang and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baisalov.

During the meeting, Baisalov noted that the Republic of Korea is one of the key partners of Kyrgyzstan, with which friendly, trusting relations have been built and close cooperation has been established in various areas.

It was also emphasized that the Cabinet of Ministers is ready to provide support and assistance in launching joint projects with the KT&G company.

In turn, Kyung Man Bang expressed interest in further expanding cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic, in particular in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, using Kyrgyz medicinal herbs and white honey, and also shared the company's plans to open an office in Kyrgyzstan.

In this regard, the Kyrgyz side expressed its readiness to assist in the initiatives of the Korean company.

KT&G representatives arrived in Kyrgyzstan following the meeting and negotiations of the Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Sanzhar Bolotov during a business trip to Seoul, where it was proposed to organize a working visit to Kyrgyzstan and consider opportunities for expanding cooperation.
