Bishkek, Sept. 11, 2024. / Kabar/. A bilateral meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev and Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh with residence in Tashkent Mohammad Monirul Islam was held today in Bishkek.
The ministry said that during the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the agreements reached during the first political consultations between the foreign ministries of Kyrgyzstan and Bangladesh, held on April 22-23, 2024 in Dhaka. Particular attention was paid to the organization of high-level visits and business meetings in the B2B format.
The head of the MFA and the ambassador confirmed their mutual interest in strengthening trade and economic cooperation, especially in the fields of textile industry, pharmaceuticals and agriculture. The need to increase bilateral trade turnover between the countries and open up new opportunities for trade was emphasized.
Ambassador Mohammad Monirul Islam also briefed the head of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry Kulubaev on the current domestic political situation in Bangladesh and outlined the key areas of work of the Interim Government.
At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral partnership and exploring new areas for mutually beneficial cooperation.
