Bishkek, April 15, 2024 / Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev took part in the second meeting of the foreign ministers of the Strategic Dialogue “Central Asia - Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Persian Gulf” in Tashkent (Uzbekistan).
In his speech, Kulubaev informed about the main directions and priorities for the development of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the countries of Central Asia and the GCC. He noted that in recent years, interaction between the Kyrgyz Republic and Arab countries has significantly intensified, and expressed the readiness of the Kyrgyz side to further strengthen mutually beneficial interregional cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of agreements reached within the framework of the first summit of the heads of state of Central Asia and the GCC, held on July 19, 2023 in Jeddah.
The heads of delegations also reviewed the progress of the implementation of the joint action plan for strategic dialogue and cooperation for 2023-2027, exchanged views on issues of strengthening interaction in the political, trade-economic, investment, transport-communication, cultural-humanitarian fields, as well as on current international and regional issues.
The meeting was attended by delegations from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia. As a result, a joint statement was adopted.
