Kulubaev meets with EU special representatives for Central Asia and Afghanistan

Bishkek, Feb. 15, 2024. /Kabar/. Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev met with the European Union Special Representative for Central Asia Terhi Hakala, as well as the EU Special Envoy for Afghanistan Thomas Niklasson.

The parties discussed the current state of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the EU, as well as further plans to increase mutually beneficial cooperation, both on a bilateral basis and within the framework of the regional agenda.

Kulubaev congratulated the high representatives of the European Union on the successful holding of the meeting of special representatives of the countries of Central Asia and the European Union on Afghanistan, held on February 14, 2024 in Bishkek, and also emphasized the importance of further interaction on security issues and Afghanistan.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue strengthening dialogue and cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the European Union in order to ensure peace, stability and prosperity in the Central Asian region and Afghanistan.
