Largest gold mine in Central Asia to allocate funds to prevent COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan's Issyk-Kul Oblast

Bishkek, March 31, 2020./Kabar/. Kumtor Gold Company will provide financial assistance in the amount of $100,000 for Kyrgyzstan's Issyk-Kul Oblast.

Kumtor Gold Company will contribute US $100,000 in financial aid to provide necessary medical means to Issyk-Kul structures and individuals involved in proactive efforts being currently made to prevent the spread of COVID-19 across the province, the press service of the company said.

The Kumtor open pit mine, located in the Kyrgyz Republic, is the largest gold mine in Central Asia, operated by a Western-based producer Centerra Gold Inc.

Kumtor Gold Company is the operator of the Kumtor project responsible for the entire production cycle.
