Board Chairman and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Sheikh Mubarak Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah received the Director of Kyrgyz National News Agency (KABAR) Kubanychbek Tabaldiyev.
KUWAIT, Jan 28 (KUNA) -- Board Chairman and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Sheikh Mubarak Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah received on Monday at KUNA's headquarters visiting Director of Kyrgyz National News Agency (KABAR) Kubanychbek Tabaldiyev.
Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah, the Chairman of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA), held talks with Mr. Kubanychbek Tabaldiyev who is here in an official two-day visit to Kuwait at the invitation of KUNA.
During the meeting, they discussed relations between the two agencies, and ways to enhance bilateral relations with Kyrgyzstan and reflect the approach of KUNA in building up cooperation with various international news agencies.
A cooperation agreement was signed between KUNA and KABAR which included the exchange of news items, photographs, ideas, expertise, in addition to the exchange of visits and coordination in international media and information forums.
Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij expressed pride in this agreement, which reflects the desire of both sides to support media cooperation and benefit from the successful and distinct expertise and the development of media news agencies.
He stressed the keenness of KUNA to cooperate with various international media institutions, especially news agencies, to achieve mutual interests, mainly the exchange of news and daily reports in the Kyrgyz Republic and neighboring countries.
After the talks, Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij toured the headquarter of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) with the Kyrgyz guest and his accompanying delegation and briefed them on the role of departments and new media services at KUNA.
The talks were attended by Kyrgyz Ambassador to Kuwait Samargyul Adamkulova and the media expert of the Kabar agency Tynchtyk Karymshakov.
It was also attended by Deputy Director General for Financial, Administrative and Communication Sector Abdulhamid Malak, Deputy Director of the Editorial Sector Saad Al Ali, Director of Marketing and Public Relations Issam Al-Rowaih, Director General's Office Chief Nayef Al Otaibi.
