Bishkek, Feb. 15, 2021 / Kabar /. Academician Sabyrbek Zhumabekov was recognized as the winner of the 2020 Scientist of the Year Open International Competition in the field of Traumatology and Orthopedics, the press service of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The competition is open to scientists, engineers, researchers and innovators from all over the world. Considering the contribution of Academician Dzhumabekov to fundamental and applied research in the field of clinical and experimental traumatology and orthopedics; number of publications and patents received; the impact of citation; mentoring in the preparation of doctoral and master's theses; participation in scientific conferences and projects; scientific leadership; received national and international awards - Zhumabekov was recognized as the winner of the 2020 Scientist of the Year Open International Competition in the field of Traumatology and Orthopedics, the report said.
