Kyrgyz actor nominated for Asian Oscar

Bishkek, Oct. 18, 2018. /Kabar/. Among the nominees for the Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) is famous Kyrgyz actor Akylbek Abdykalykov, Gulbara Tolomushova wrote on kyrgyzcinema site.

Representatives of five countries will compete for victory in the nomination “Best Male Role”: Karim Mirhadiev (“Fortitude” film, Uzbekistan), Nawazuddin Siddiqui (“Manto”, India), Zain Al Rafeea (“Kafarnaum”, Lebanon), Bahman Farmanara (“Hekayat-e Darya”, Iran) and Akylbek Abdykalykov for his role in film “Night Accident” (“Tunku Kyrsyk”, Kyrgyzstan).

The twelfth award ceremony of the Asia-Pacific Screen Award (APSA), commonly referred to as the "Asian Oscar", will be held on November 29 in the Australian city of Brisbane.
