Kyrgyz, Afghan PMs meet in Tashkent

Tashkent, Nov.1, 2019. /Kabar/. Tashkent hosted the meeting of Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev with Chief Executive of Afghanistan Abdullah Abdullah

During the meeting Abylgaziev expressed hope that the last presidential elections in Afghanistan will ensure stability in the country. The prime minister noted the potential of relations between the two countries is much higher.

“At the moment, trade and economic relations between our countries are low, but we hope that business will develop. We support the development of Afghanistan's relations with Central Asian countries, as well as your participation in the agreement on cooperation between the countries of the region and the United States,” Abylgaziev said.

In turn, Abdullah Abdullah stressed Afghanistan has developed friendly relations with Kyrgyzstan over the past year.

“Because of the ongoing fighting in Afghanistan, the entire region as a whole cannot use the potential for development,” the PM of Afghanistan said.

Note that Kyrgyzstan’s PM Abylgaziev has arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
