Bishkek, Dec. 20, 2024 . / Kabar / . The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan recommends entrepreneurs to focus on domestic production of poultry meat, the press service of the Ministry said.
According to preliminary results of 2024, Kyrgyzstan is fully self-sufficient in domestic production of chicken eggs. Due to the projected oversaturation of the market of chicken eggs in 2025, as well as according to the Association of Poultry Farmers, the production of chicken eggs has become less profitable.
The Ministry of Agriculture recommends that entrepreneurs planning to start a poultry business from 2025 focus on domestic production of poultry meat, particularly broiler chickens, instead of egg production.
"This area has significant potential for development, given the growing demand for quality poultry meat, both in the domestic and foreign markets. Reorientation to broiler production will help avoid possible financial risks associated with the excess of chicken eggs on the market, as well as create new opportunities to expand business and increase income," the report says.
The Ministry of Agriculture continues to actively work on creating favorable conditions for the development of poultry farming in the country and is ready to provide consulting and information support to entrepreneurs choosing promising directions in this industry.
