Kyrgyz Ambassador and Secretary General of Austrian Foreign Ministry discuss state and prospects of cooperation

Bishkek, July 13, 2018. / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan in Austria Bakyt Dzhusupov discussed in Vienna with Secretary General of the Austrian Foreign Ministry Johannes Peterlik the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the political, economic and cultural fields.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that at the beginning of the meeting Dzhusupov congratulated Peterlik on a high appointment and wished him successes in this position.

At the meeting, the Ambassador told the interlocutor about the internal political and economic situation in the Kyrgyz Republic, the development of the National Sustainable Development Strategy and the implementation of the Taza Koom program. The Kyrgyz side confirmed its readiness to increase cooperation with Austria in the field of investment, export, digitalization, tourism, etc. In this regard, the sides agreed to hold the seventh meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in 2019. Dzhusupov also invited Austria to send a sports and cultural delegation to participate in the Third World Nomad Games.

In the framework of multilateral cooperation, Dzhusupov appealed the Austrian side to support the election of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN Security Council's non-permanent members for 2027-2028. The Ambassador expressed readiness for cooperation within the European Union with Austria, which became the chairman of the EU Council.
