Bishkek, June 18, 2024. / Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev held talks with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkiye Nuh Yilmaz, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
During the meeting the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The schedule of upcoming events and planned visits and meetings at the highest and high levels this year are also considered.
The parties discussed in detail the issues of developing and deepening bilateral trade and economic relations and increasing mutual trade turnover between the countries, including through the establishment of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Development Fund (investment), as well as issues of deepening cooperation in the educational sphere between the countries.
The Kyrgyz side noted the importance of the early resumption of the implementation of the agreement on cooperation in the field of healthcare and medical sciences, which provides for annual free treatment of 150 citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic in medical institutions in Turkiye and expressed a request to expand the provided quota to 500 people per year.
The ambassador and deputy foreign minister also discussed in detail the interaction of the parties at multilateral platforms, including upcoming events within the Organization of Turkic States and mutual support for initiatives in the United Nations.
