Kyrgyz ambassador meets with executive vice president of Korea Foundation

Bishkek, April 8, 2022 / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Republic of Korea Aida Ismailova met with Executive Vice President of the Korea Foundation, Director of the Secretariat of the Central Asia-Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum Lee Chong Guk.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that during the meeting, Ismailova expressed Kyrgyzstan's interest in promoting the Central Asia - Republic of Korea Forum.

She noted the important role of the Secretariat as the executive body of the Forum and expressed hope for the further implementation of joint projects in Kyrgyzstan in such areas as agriculture, urban and regional development, infrastructure, transport, ecology, hydropower, digitalization, mining and textile industries, education and healthcare in light of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

In turn, Lee Chong Guk informed about the plans of the Secretariat for the current year and expressed readiness for further close and fruitful cooperation within the framework of the Forum on all the above issues.

During the conversation, there was also an exchange of views on the upcoming events in 2022 within the framework of the Central Asia - Republic of Korea Forum in the light of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and South Korea.
