Kyrgyz ambassador meets with newly appointed USAID director in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Aug. 16, 2024. / Kabar/. On August 14, 2024, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United States and Canada Baktybek Amanbaev met with newly appointed USAID Director in the Kyrgyz Republic Sara Werth and USAID Deputy Assistant Administrator Änjali Kaur, the Kyrgyz Embassy reported.

During the meeting parties discussed in detail the current status of Kyrgyzstan's cooperation with USAID and outlined plans for further implementation.

Ambassador Amanbaev proposed to expand USAID's project and program activities to the country's regions with a focus on education, investment attraction and new technologies.

By the end of the meeting, Sarah Werth expressed readiness for active cooperation with the Kyrgyz side.
