Bishkek, Feb. 28, 2022. / Kabar /. Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov, Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Farhat Ismailov, Acting Minister of Investments of Kyrgyzstan Nuradil Bayasov and Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Kyrgyzsan Azamat Mukashev met with a business delegation of Kyrgyzstan, which arrived in Riyadh to participate in the exhibition-fair of domestic products and the Kyrgyz-Saudi business forum (February 24-27, 2022).
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the business delegation of Kyrgyzstan consisted of more than 30 representatives of the food industry, energy and tourism, financial institutions, logistics companies, international organizations and projects in the Kyrgyz Republic (UNDP, JICA "One village - one product").
Maripov and the heads of state bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic informed the business delegation about the measures taken by the President and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic for the socio-economic development of the country, as well as the state policy to improve the investment climate and create a favorable business environment and protect the interests of domestic and foreign investors.
Particular attention is paid to the expediency of holding periodic meetings and forums between the business communities of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to establish close business ties. It was also noted that it is necessary to establish convenient logistics routes between the two countries for cargo transportation in order to develop bilateral trade.
Maripov expressed his readiness to attract Saudi large holdings and companies to the priority sectors of the food industry, energy and its renewable sources, agriculture, and tourism of Kyrgyzstan together with the Investment and Development Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic.
At the same time, the expediency of creating a "Kyrgyz-Saudi Business Council" and a "Trading House" of Kyrgyz products in the Saudi Arabian market was noted.
At the same time, the business delegation of Kyrgyzstan was provided with answers to all their questions, including the mechanisms for close interaction between the business community of the country with relevant government agencies and the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Saudi Arabia.
