Kyrgyz ambassador presents credentials to German president

Bishkek, Sept. 16, 2020 / Kabar /. Erlan Abdyldaev, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Germany, presented his credentials to Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin at the Bellevue Palace, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

During the conversation, held after the solemn ceremony, Abdyldaev conveyed to Steinmeier the words of greetings and gratitude from President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov for the support provided by the German side to Kyrgyzstan, including in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, and also informed about the current socio-economic situation and preparations for the parliamentary elections on Oct. 4 this year.

The German president and Kyrgyz ambassador discussed issues of strengthening Kyrgyz-German cooperation in various fields. The sides noted with satisfaction that relations between the two countries have a solid foundation and are progressively developing, impulse to which was given by the official visit of President Jeenbekov in April 2019 to Germany.

The sides emphasized the importance of implementing effective and concrete projects within the framework of the new initiative Green Central Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany.

At the end, the national flag of the Kyrgyz Republic was raised in a solemn atmosphere at the residence of the Federal President of Germany in the Bellevue Palace.
