Bishkek, March 9, 2022 . / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to New Zealand (with residence in Tokyo) Mirlan Arstanbaev presented credentials to Her Excellency Governor-General of New Zealand Cindy Kiro.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported that he ceremony took place on Wednesday through videoconference.
Mirlan Arstanbaev noted that the Kyrgyz Republic considers New Zealand as a friendly and promising partner in the Pacific region and is ready to develop and maintain relations on political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian issues, environmental security and combating the effects of climate change.
The ambassador emphasized that on Sept. 7, 2022 the countries will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, and in this regard expressed the hope that in the near future the parties will be able to take joint steps to form a legal framework of cooperation.
Her Excellency Governor-General Cindy Kiro congratulated Arstanbaev on assuming the position of Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to New Zealand and invited him to visit New Zealand soon.
In turn, the ambassador assured that he would do his best to strengthen friendly relations between the two countries.
