Bishkek, Sept. 18, 2023 / Kabar /. On September 15, at the Presidential Palace of the city of Chisinau, an official ceremony was held to present the credentials to President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, by Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Moldova (concurrently with the residence in Kiev) Idris Kadyrkulov, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
During the meeting, the head of Moldova noted that the countries are linked by historical friendly relations and modern democratic achievements on the path to building a free society and parliamentary republics. I agreed with Kadyrkulov’s opinion that the level of current Kyrgyz-Moldovan relations does not meet the existing potential of the two countries.
The ambassador, in turn, expressed words of condolences in connection with the death of the first Moldovan President Mircea Snegur. He also made a proposal on the advisability of giving a new impetus to the development of multifaceted cooperation by resuming political dialogue at the highest and high levels and resuming the work of the Kyrgyz-Moldovan Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
