Bishkek, March 11, 2019. / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Republic of Korea Dinara Kemelova presented her credentials to President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in.
After the protocol ceremony at the Chong Wah De Palace, a conversation took place, where the main issues of Kyrgyz-South Korean cooperation were discussed, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
President Moon Jae-in congratulated Kemelova on her appointment as Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Republic of Korea and noted that the Republic of Korea and Kyrgyzstan have a lot in common, the peoples of the two countries resemble each other.
Kemelova noted the historical friendly relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Korea. “Kyrgyzstan highly appreciates cooperation with the Republic of Korea and considers it as an important and priority partner in the Asian region,” the ambassador said. She expressed gratitude to the Korean side for supporting the Kyrgyz Republic in democratic transformations.
The ambassador expressed the Kyrgyz side’s interest in increasing trade and economic cooperation with the Republic of Korea, especially in the export of environmentally friendly products from Kyrgyzstan to South Korea. Kemelova also offered the Korean side to participate in the promotion of projects for the development of regions and the digitalization of the country and to expand training opportunities for Kyrgyz specialists in the Republic of Korea.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the annual increase in the number of tourists from the Republic of Korea to Kyrgyzstan. “Kyrgyzstan is famous for its beautiful nature, the Alpine mountains, which are the basis of the trend of increasing the number of South Korean tourists to Kyrgyzstan. Of course, this fact will trigger the opening of direct flights between the capitals of the two countries,” Presidident Moon Jae-in said.
In conclusion, President Moon Jae-in wished Kemelova success in her post as Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Republic of Korea.
