Kyrgyz ambassador presents credentials to president of Slovakia

Bishkek, April 18, 2024 / Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Tolendy Makeev presented his credentials to President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Caputova, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The ceremony took place on April 15 at the Presidential Palace in Bratislava.

The ambassador of Kyrgyzstan conveyed greetings and good wishes to the head of Slovakia on behalf of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, and expressed his readiness to make every effort to further strengthen Kyrgyz-Slovak relations.

The diplomat noted that 2025 will mark the 100th anniversary of the arrival of the industrial cooperative from Czechoslovakia “Intergelpo” in Kyrgyzstan, which helped in the industrial development of the country. In this regard, he proposed organizing mutual visits at the highest level and holding other joint events to coincide with this significant date.

The significant interest of the Kyrgyz side in the development of bilateral economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation and in the field of higher education was also emphasized. In addition, issues of interaction between Kyrgyzstan and Slovakia within the framework of multilateral diplomacy through the UN, the European Union and other international organizations were raised.

President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Caputova noted the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries and wished Ambassador Makeev successful diplomatic activities for the benefit of the two peoples.

Tolendy Makeev is the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Slovak Republic with residence in Vienna.
