Bishkek, Feb, 1, 2018 /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Republic of Korea Kylychbek Sultan presented credentials to President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Korea reported.
After the protocol ceremony, a conversation took place, where the sides discussed the main issues of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Korea.
President Monn Jae-in used this opportunity to convey the words of congratulations to Sooronbay Jeenbekov on his election to the presidency of Kyrgyzstan and the beginning of his activities last year. Moon Jae-in expressed his satisfaction that the Republic of Korea is participating in the development of democracy in Kyrgyzstan by assisting in the introduction of new technologies in the election process in the Kyrgyz Republic. Kyrgyzstan is famous for its beautiful nature and from year to year the number of visitors from Kyrgyzstan among the citizens of Korea increases, which is also a positive indicator of the development of bilateral cooperation, he said.
Ambassador Sultan stressed that the Republic of Korea occupies an important place in Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy, and the Kyrgyz side intends to further intensify relations with Seoul at a high level. He expressed gratitude to the Korean side for the support of democracy and financial assistance in the Kyrgyz Republic. Further, President Moon Jae-in was informed about the democratic reforms being conducted in Kyrgyzstan, as well as familiarized with the general political and economic situation in the country. Taking advantage of this opportunity, the Ambassador invited the President of the Republic of Korea to Kyrgyzstan.
South Korean leader, from his part, assured the interlocutor that the Korean side will make every effort to bring the Kyrgyz-South Korean cooperation to a new high level. President of the Republic of Korea wished Sultan success in the post of Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Korea.
