Bishkek, Nov. 3, 2021 / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Islamic Republic of Iran Turdakun Sydykov suggested that the Iranian side invest in the creation of joint ventures for the production of various agricultural and fish products in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. He voiced this proposal at a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Agriculture - Head of the Iranian Fisheries Organization Nobiolla Khunmirzai at the IFEX-2021 international exhibition of fisheries, aquaculture and marine products.
The exhibition was held on Nov. 1 in Tehran, where the ambassador also got acquainted with the advanced experience of Iranian enterprises for the production of fish products and seafood.
During the meeting, Sydykov informed about the priority areas of trade, economic, investment cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Iran, in particular in the field of agriculture.
He noted the already existing positive experience, as well as the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the supply of meat products and beans from Kyrgyzstan to Iran.
In this regard, the Kyrgyz ambassador suggested the Iranian side to invest in the creation of joint ventures for the production of various agricultural and fish products in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic with the aim of further selling finished products to the markets of Central Asia, the CIS and the EAEU.
The deputy minister of agriculture of Iran informed about the activities of the organization, the state and prospects of the development of fisheries and, in general, the agricultural sector in Iran.
Khunmirzai expressed the readiness of the Iranian side to organize events for the exchange of experience in the field of fish production. The Iranian side invited the head of the Kyrgyz diplomatic mission to visit Iran's advanced fish and seafood farms.
Following the meeting, the sides agreed to intensify cooperation in priority areas of agriculture and fisheries by ensuring the participation of advanced farms of the two countries in business forums and exhibitions-fairs held in Kyrgyzstan and Iran.
On the same day, Kyrgyz ambassador visited the 21st Tehran International Exhibition of Electrotechnical Industry, where he got acquainted with the achievements of Iranian enterprises in the production of electrical products.
