Bishkek, Oct. 28, 2021 . / Kabar / . The 7th International Pan Yellow Sea Forum, organized by Chungcheongnam-do, was held in Yesan, South Korea.
Governor of Chungcheongnam-do, members of the South Korean National Assembly, government officials, and ambassadors from four countries (China, Japan, Vietnam, and Kyrgyzstan), including Kyrgyz Ambassador to South Korea Dinara Kemelova took part in the Forum.
The press service of Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Ministry reported that as part of the Forum, Kemelova made a welcoming speech, where she outlined the 30th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence and the prospects for cooperation between the countries of Central and Southeast Asia.
At a special session devoted to interregional cooperation on combating the coronavirus pandemic, the ambassador spoke about the Kyrgyz government's efforts to combat the pandemic in the country.
In addition, the Kyrgyz ambassador also held bilateral meetings with Governor Yang Seung-jo and representatives of the Chungcheongnam-do administration to discuss the prospects of trade, economic and investment cooperation in the development of tourism infrastructure, agriculture, green energy, construction of trade and logistics centers, promotion of health and cultural projects, and the Smart City project.
Ambassador Kemelova also noted the great labor potential of Kyrgyz workers and offered to accept citizens under the EPS system and for seasonal work.
She recalled an earlier proposal to conclude a twinning agreement between Issyk-Kul Oblast and Chungcheongnam-do. In turn, the Korean side also expressed interest in promoting cooperation with Bishkek and with the state body for youth policy and sports.
